HAPPY THOUGHTS SPARK HAPPY IDEAS. LET’S MAKE TV TOGETHER.

About Me.

Hi! I’m Tai Hanson-Shin. I’m a format creator and development producer with a knack for game and competition formats. My career began in 2011 at NBC as part of the Page Program where I got to share my love of television with visitors from around the world. As a Page, I had the honor of assisting the audience coordinator for the final season of ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’, and spent a good part of the year on the original NBC Burbank lot, relishing in its history and legends. The other half of the year, I was grabbing lunches and learning how to be an assistant on the Universal Lot.

I went on to work at Style Network, supporting amazing women executives in both Development and Current Programming, through the network’s rebrand

We launched some really cool shows for the ‘pink collar’ world, including ‘Resale Royalty’ and ‘Styled to Rock’, a fashion competition executive produced by Rihanna.

In 2013, I joined the team at Smart Dog Media — assisting, then developing really cool ideas. I managed a hearty slate of unscripted, and scripted, formats. In 2018, we launched ‘The Masked Singer’ at Fox, and the rest is history. I consulted with producers adapting the format in their own territories and was key in launching the virtual audience vote in season 4.

I enjoy adapting and developing international formats - with some highlights being ‘My Little Television’ (MBC / South Korea), and ‘I Can See Your Voice’ (CJENM / South Korea).

Prior to launching this venture, I worked at ZnakTV, coming up with more, out-of-the box ideas for your screens.

I have developed projects for AMC, TBS, Disney Channel, Fox, NBC, YouTube, and BET over the years.

I’m looking forward to many more creative years and turning all of my happy thoughts into great shows.
